Job Scope

As a Resort Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of guests and Team members at our resort. You will provide high-quality medical care and support in a hospitality setting, combining your nursing expertise with a customer service-oriented approach. Your responsibilities will include assessing and treating illnesses and injuries, promoting health and wellness, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in accordance to Standard Operating procedures and Guidelines of Cocoon.
  • Ensures to maintain high standards in personal appearance. Should be well groomed, hygienically clean and properly attired in uniform to carry out duties at all times.
  • Ensures to behave/carry out tasks and responsibilities in a professional manner.
  • Ensure to be well organized to carry out job tasks with necessary accessories ready and at hand.
  • Deals with Staff feedback and concerns systematically and keeps the Doctor / HRM informed of same.
  • Ensure to be committed to suggest/introduce new initiatives that are focused in enhancing staff development.
  • Provides management direction and counseling. Supervises clerical assistant and temporary staffing as needed.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care services to resort guests and team members, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating common illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
  • Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively, providing first aid, initiating appropriate interventions, and coordinating emergency medical services when necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and resort policies.
  • Maintain all medical equipment on a monthly basis by checking and ensuring the equipment is fit for use
  • Stay updated on local health regulations and industry standards, ensuring the resort's compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • To attend to emergency calls – out of hours when necessary
  • Maintain host and guest health records on the computer. Ensure that all records are kept confidential. 
  • Assess the work environment for potential health & safety problems;
  • Maintain staff health records and preparing accident reports;
  • Conduct accident investigations;
  • Investigate the causes of common injuries;
  • Maintain first-aid kits, order new supplies and destroy out-of-date items safely.
  • Assist injured staff returning to work from medical leave;
  • Contact doctors and/or hospitals, as necessary, to arrange further treatments;
  • Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body language;
  • Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the resort is represented;
  • Implement and monitor infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment, including vaccination programs and adherence to sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with resort Team members, including managers, supervisors, and other departments, to address health-related concerns, provide guidance, and promote a culture of wellness and safety.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of local labor law

Patient Care & Treatment Efficiency

  • Provide timely and accurate medical care to guests and team members
  • Target: 95% patient satisfaction score monthly

Emergency Response Time

  • Respond to medical emergencies and out-of-hours calls promptly
  • Target: Emergency response within 10 minutes on resort premises

Medical Record Accuracy & Confidentiality

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential medical records for all patients
  • Target: Zero record discrepancies or confidentiality breaches

Medication Administration Compliance

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed
  • Target: Zero medication administration errors monthly

Medical Equipment Maintenance

  • Conduct monthly checks on all medical equipment and ensure usability
  • Target: 100% equipment inspection completion monthly

First Aid & Medical Inventory Management

  • Maintain first aid kits, medical supplies, and proper disposal of expired items
  • Target: Zero expired items found during monthly audits

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Assess workplace health risks and ensure compliance with health regulations and infection control protocols
  • Target: Zero major health and safety non-compliance incidents

Accident Investigation & Reporting

  • Prepare accident reports and investigate causes of workplace injuries promptly
  • Target: 100% accident reports completed within 24 hours

Staff Wellness & Return-to-Work Support

  • Assist injured employees returning from medical leave and support wellness initiatives
  • Target: 100% follow-up support for injured staff

Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain professional appearance, ethical conduct, and positive collaboration with departments

Target: Zero disciplinary cases and positive management feedback monthly
