Job Scope

The Housekeeping Executive plays a vital operational role in overseeing the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and premium presentation of all guest accommodations and public areas across the resort. Acting as a key bridge between floor operations and department leadership, this position ensures seamless shift handovers, coordinates inter-departmental workflows (particularly with Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry), and directly manages front-line staff to maintain five-star luxury standards. The role requires balancing hands-on physical quality inspections with administrative duties, including scheduling, inventory controls, and team performance development.

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

·        Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations.

·        Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.

·        Supervise housekeeping staff and assign daily duties.

·        Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and linens.

·        Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

·        Coordinate with Front Office, Laundry, and Maintenance departments.

·        Train staff on housekeeping procedures and service standards.

Specific Responsibilities

·        Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.

·        Monitor room status and ensure timely room readiness.

·        Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints.

·        Prepare duty rosters and staff schedules.

·        Monitor housekeeping inventory and control costs.

·        Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.

·        Assist in staff performance evaluations and training programs.

·        Prepare housekeeping reports and records.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Room Cleanliness & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all rooms and public spaces match resort standards.
  • Target: Maintain a high room cleanliness inspection score and minimal housekeeping-related guest complaints.

Guest Satisfaction & Experience

  • Address and resolve guest requests and complaints efficiently.
  • Target: Achieve high guest satisfaction ratings for the housekeeping department.

Operational Efficiency & Turnaround

  • Monitor real-time room status and coordinate seamless department handovers.
  • Target: Meet agreed room readiness turnaround times daily.

Team Productivity & Resource Management

  • Prepare rosters, assign daily tasks, and evaluate overall team performance.
  • Target: Optimize staff productivity levels across all assigned shifts.

Inventory Control & Asset Management

  • Oversee stock levels for linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, and ensure equipment upkeep.
  • Target: Maintain 100% inventory accuracy and strict cost control parameters.

Compliance, Safety & Security

  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Target: Zero compliance violations and a visible reduction in lost-and-found incidents.

Training & Development

  • Execute training programs and onboard team members on standard procedures.
  • Target: Achieve target training completion rates for all housekeeping staff.
