The Housekeeping Linen Runner is an essential operational role focused on managing the logistical flow of linens, towels, uniforms, and guest amenities across the resort. Acting as the vital physical link between the Laundry department and the floor housekeeping teams, this position ensures that room attendants and villa attendants have an uninterrupted supply of pristine materials to service guest accommodations efficiently. The role requires physical stamina for continuous transport, precise record-keeping to track linen circulation, and strict adherence to hygiene standards to prevent contamination. By maintaining flawlessly organized storage spaces and responding quickly to urgent resource requests, the Linen Runner directly supports the resort’s ability to deliver high-quality, seamless luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  • Deliver and collect linens, towels, and housekeeping supplies systematically throughout the property.
  • Ensure an adequate, steady supply of clean linens is available in all designated resort pantry areas.
  • Support daily housekeeping operations by transporting linen and guest supplies efficiently.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, neatness, and strict organization of all linen storage areas and pantries.
  • Follow all established company safety, hygiene, and operational protocols.
  • Assist housekeeping floor staff promptly with any linen-related requests and requirements.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Distribute fresh linens, towels, and guest amenities to housekeeping pantries and specified service areas.
  • Collect soiled linens from floor teams and safely transport them back to the laundry department.
  • Maintain accurate, daily records of all linen movements, distribution tallies, and current inventory.
  • Assist supervisors with routine linen counts, stocktaking activities, and quarterly audits.
  • Inspect items during handling and immediately report damaged, stained, or missing linens to the supervisor.
  • Ensure proper storage techniques and careful handling of linen to prevent physical damage, tearing, or loss.
  • Proactively replenish housekeeping carts and storage rooms to prevent operational delays.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and organizing fresh laundry deliveries as they come from the washing facility.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free, and safe work environment within all linen-handling zones.

Linen Distribution Efficiency

  • Deliver clean linens and guest supplies across the resort within expected timeframes.
  • Target: 100% timely delivery of linens and supplies to prevent room turnaround delays.

Inventory Tally Accuracy

  • Keep meticulous records of all linen movements and stock shifts between laundry and pantries.
  • Target: Achieve high linen inventory accuracy with zero undocumented stock movements.

Asset Protection & Quality Control

  • Minimize fabric degradation, stains, and misplacement through careful handling and proper storage.
  • Target: Maintain linen loss and damage rates below the established monthly threshold.

Housekeeping Team Support Speed

  • Respond to ad-hoc, urgent requests for extra towels, linens, or amenities from room attendants.
  • Target: Meet target response times for all internal housekeeping requests.

Hygiene & Handling Compliance

  • Adhere to strict sanitary guidelines separating clean and soiled linens during transit.
  • Target: 100% compliance with safe linen handling and sanitary procedures.

Storage Room Cleanliness

  • Organize shelves and keep designated storage zones completely clear of debris.
  • Target: Zero non-compliance marks during random inspections of linen storage areas.

Attendance & Shift Reliability

  • Show up for scheduled operational shifts on time and maintain consistent workplace presence.
  • Target: Maintain excellent monthly attendance and punctuality records.

Productivity & Team Satisfaction

  • Optimize delivery routes and maintain positive, supportive communication with the housekeeping staff.
  • Target: Maximize distribution productivity while achieving high internal satisfaction scores from the housekeeping team.
