Job Scope

The Minibar Attendant is an operational role responsible for managing, replenishing, and tracking the food and beverage stock within guest room minibars across the resort. This role directly impacts property revenue and guest experience by ensuring that refreshments are consistently available, accurately billed, and perfectly presented in accordance with luxury resort standards. Operating on the front line of guest accommodation zones, the Minibar Attendant balances physical stocking tasks with administrative diligence, including daily consumption logs, stock reconciliation, financial charge postings, and strict quality control measures to eliminate product expiration and wastage.

Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

  • Replenish minibar items in guest rooms according to company guidelines and presentation standards.
  • Ensure minibar products are neatly stocked, organized, and systematically rotated within their expiry dates.
  • Maintain accurate, daily records of all minibar consumption, refills, and physical inventory shifts.
  • Provide efficient, polite, and courteous service to guests at all times.
  • Follow resort guidelines, professional hygiene standards, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping floor teams, and the Finance department regarding guest minibar billing and charges.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Inspect and thoroughly restock minibars in all assigned guest rooms on a daily basis.
  • Record consumed items with high precision and submit financial charges to the property management system promptly.
  • Check expiration dates and monitor product packaging quality regularly during inventory handling.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of minibar products, mixers, and snacks in storage areas.
  • Report any stock discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items to the supervisor immediately.
  • Clean and ensure minibar refrigerators are working, defrosted, and functioning properly.
  • Assist with comprehensive monthly inventory counts and end-of-month stock reconciliation.
  • Respond efficiently to guest inquiries or disputes regarding minibar items and posted charges.
  • Follow strict security procedures when entering guest villas, handling stock keys, and managing records.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Billing & Charge Accuracy

  • Record and submit consumed minibar items promptly to the correct guest account.
  • Target: 100% accuracy in minibar charge postings with zero billing discrepancies.

Replenishment Completion Rate

  • Complete daily inspections and product restocks across all assigned guest rooms.
  • Target: 100% completion of assigned rooms within the designated shift timeframes.

Inventory Control & Audit Accuracy

  • Maintain clear, error-free logs during monthly stock counts and daily trackings.
  • Target: Achieve high inventory accuracy rates with zero unexplained stock variances.

Guest Issue Minimization

  • Maintain premium service standards to reduce complaints regarding incorrect charges or missing stock.
  • Target: Minimize minibar-related guest complaints monthly.

Wastage & Expiry Management

  • Systematically rotate items to prevent stock from passing expiration dates.
  • Target: Achieve a low product wastage and expiry rate through proactive shelf-life monitoring.

Room Servicing Productivity

  • Optimize movement routes and item preparation to ensure fast, un-intrusive room servicing.
  • Target: Meet the targeted daily room servicing productivity metrics.

Resort Standards Compliance

  • Adhere to strict resort procedures, key handling rules, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Target: 100% compliance with established hotel policies and safety procedures.

Attendance & Dependability

  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and participate consistently in morning operational updates.
  • Target: Maintain excellent monthly attendance and punctuality records.

Guest Satisfaction Rating

  • Ensure courtesy and item availability contribute positively to the overall guest stay feedback.
  • Target: Achieve high guest satisfaction scores for minibar experiences.
